Winter- Spring Garden 2016

Things seemed to grow a tad slower over Autumn and Winter this year, surprisingly so as we had quite a bit of rain, but now the weather is warming it feels like Spring is definitely on its way.

Here’s a few things starting to shoot and flower:

We decided to simplify one of the back garden beds that was getting a little cluttered with a fuchsia becoming too large and competing against our Xanthorrhoea (Grass Tree), and whilst I ADORED the fuchsia, I LOVE the Xanthorrhoea more and so we have now really made it the centre of attention in that garden bed.

Bye bye fuchsia!

Now, we are just waiting for a flower spike to emerge from the Xanthorrhoea....

More to come soon as the bulbs spring to life, the flowers emerge and the fruit and vege’s start to take on their Spring growth.
