What I love about summer in Hobart is the proliferation of markets brimming with all manner of goodies to explore, try and buy.

The regular Salamanca market comes alive with tourists and locals alike enjoying to sunshine.

Then there is David Walsh and his team who have certainly provided Tasmania with a gem – the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is a great place anytime of year but over summer it becomes even more vibrant with the summer markets MoMa, MOFO Music festival and well any sunny day is terrific for roaming the gallery and grounds.

On my visits over summer here is a little of what I saw:

  1. Oh, I still remember a vist to the Salamanca Markets I made in the ’90s.. lovely, lovely, lovely! It looks as if you’ve been having some fabulous times!
