My beloved settee – revamped and rejuvenated

You may remember that I posted earlier about my beloved settee I inherited from my Gran (see Secrets trapped in a settee story) and how it was due for another make-over? Well that revamp has just been done and what a beauty she has turned into yet again! (Of course no bias attached here;))

The furniture has just arrived back from being spruced up by Phil Wittison, an Antique Restoration Specialist in Mornington (Tasmania), who stripped, sanded and re-sprayed all the woodwork. It was then brought back to life, being resprung, stuffed and covered by Paul and his team at Maypole Upholstery in New Town.

We went for the following fabrics all from Warwick: For the settee Ardo in Leaf colour; the settee’s matching chair is Salsa in Fiesta colour and the other arm chair/carver is in Lustrell Brumbie’s Redgum colour.

We are absolutely thrilled with the transformation and know they will last for another decade or two – in fact they might even outlast Mr Iced Vovo and me!!!

You can find Maypole Upholstery’s details on the Fab-Finds page.
