And whilst you can’t book unless you have a large party (this seems to be a trend with restaurants of late…) the two times we have been there so far we managed to get a seat but only just…this place fills up fast. In fact it was busier the recent Wednesday night than it was on a previous Friday we had been – with both the tables inside and out packed to capacity by the time we had ordered our pizzas.
Thankfully with Mum living not far away and we not that much further, I think it might become more of a take-away place for us. Whilst the ambience is nice, when filled to capacity, it does get rather noisy inside.
The pizzas both times have been wonderfully delicious with scrumptious light hand-stretched dough bases, quality ingredients and interesting combinations to boot!
On this occasion we shared the following:
I washed my pizza down with a couple of Brooklyn Lagers whilst Mr Iced Vovo had a Karma Cola and Mum a Blood Orange.
There was plenty of leftovers as all pizzas come in one size 14″ – and be warned there are no half/half and no bbq base options.
Whilst we didn’t squeeze in any dessert this time they do offer a lovely range of Gelato and there is Tiramisu or sometimes a delectable range of designer donuts too.
You can find Local Pizza at 52 Maroni Road, Berriedale and is open Wednesday through to Sunday from 5pm.
