Hills of raspberry heaven!

A visit to Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm has become a family institution every time we head to the north of the State.

The farm is located just off the A1 Bass Highway, mid way between Deloraine and Elizabeth Town, in Tasmania. It is a 30 minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal in Devonport or 45 minutes drive from the Launceston Airport so no matter how you get to the State you are only a short drive away from raspberry heaven!

Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm was established in 1984 with the planting of twelve acres of raspberry canes. In 1995 a café was established featuring stone and timber and large windows overlooking lawns that run down to a lake filled with water lilies. The garden, which you are free to stroll around, features native trees and a herb garden and, of course, the raspberry canes in the distance.

In summer you can choose to sit outside on our deck or at the picnic tables. In winter sitting in front of the open log fire is a treat all of its own!

The menu caters to all raspberry cravings, with nearly every dish having some raspberry influence, as well as utilising the very best fresh local produce.

The café is open 7 days per week all year from 7am to 5pm, and they also sell raspberries and raspberry products from our shop during the raspberry season from mid December to Mother’s Day in May.

If you don’t have time to stop in they also offer a delicious range of raspberry products such as chocolate dipped raspberries, or rich creamy raspberry ice cream – both are divine!
