Gallop along to the Waggon and Horses for a hearty meal!

We pulled the chariot up in front of the Waggon and Horses Pub in North Hobart recently and popped in for a drink and dinner before heading on to The Theatre Royal.

Owned and operated by Ken Patmore and his partner Shiralee, the pub offers patrons a friendly atmosphere both in the main bar area as well as in the dinning room.

On this occasion we had the following meals:

Lemon Pepper Calamari with chips and salad
Lemon Pepper Calamari with chips and salad
Beef schnitzel with pepper sauce and chips
Beef schnitzel with pepper sauce and chips
Roast pork with gravy and assorted vegetables
Roast pork with gravy and assorted vegetables

As you can see, all were generous portion sizes at very reasonable prices. There was no room for dessert on this occasion but they did sound awfully tempting!

If you are planning a visit, don’t forget to book as the place can get extremely busy! The night we were there it was a full house.
