Family Road Trip – Day 1

With my sister and nephew out for only three weeks over the festive season it meant that we ran a tight schedule of activities to try and make the most of their visit. Directly after Christmas we bundled into our car and headed north of the State to see some of Tasmania’s great sights.

We opted to take the more scenic route from Hobart via the Great Lakes through to Deloraine and then on to Launceston where we set up base at the Country Club Villas.

If you have the time I highly recommend taking this route rather than going down the Midland Highway which now by-passes just about every town except Campbell Town.

Here is a little pictorial spread of some of what we saw on Day1 of our Tassie adventure.
