Iced Vovo popped down to the Margate Train recently and had lunch at the Pancake Train Café.

There is a wonderful array of savoury and sweet pancakes on offer but if you aren’t in the mood for a pancake or two then there are other tasty treats on the menu too.

You can also just stop in for a hot cuppa or a Valhalla Ice-cream.

Mum and I both opted for an extra hot latte and the banana and chocolate syrup pancakes with ice-cream. Yum, and as you can see, very sizeable!

You can also find a second hand book shop, lolly shop, barber, second hand/antique furniture shop and a carpet shop in or around the train.

The Margate Train is the final home for Tasmania’s last passenger train, the Tasman Limited, and is located about 15 minutes out of Hobart heading south west at 1567 Channel Highway.
