Claremont Golf Course, located alongside both the Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory and the Derwent River, must be one of the most picturesque courses to play.
Being the only private Golf Club in the Northern Suburbs of Hobart the club has a long-standing history in the area and is currently offering a variety of membership packages to suit all levels of players from full membership down to special memberships for beginners, students and casual players. To find out more details check out their website Claremont Golf Club or give them a call.
The Club is also currently undergoing planning proposal that could see it merging with the Claremont Bowls Club and other interested parties to form the “Claremont Peninsula Sporting Complex” that they hope will not only to continue to provide great golfing and bowls opportunities but may also see the development of accommodation, conference and convention facilities too.
Unfortunately the magnificent view did not result in a magnificent scorecard for me the day I played! (I played abominably – cussing, and swearing to never play this infernal game again!) However, the walk around is reason enough not to be totally dis-heartened and I highly recommend that you try this Course out at least once!
