A Farm I’d be happy to be Lost at!

Barnbougle Dunes Golf club, which opened in December 2004, has been the number one Australian public golf course virtually since its opening and has recently seen an expansion with the establishment of another 20 hole golf course and accommodation complex called Barnbougle Lost Farm.

Barnbougle Lost Farm was designed by head architect Bill Coore, who has put the focus on the natural landscape and terrain, to create a minimalist course design.

Situated adjacent to the wild and dramatic coastline of Anderson Bay on the North East coast of Tasmanian, Barnbougle Lost Farm provides both a challenging course for players as well as some stunning scenery. While some holes wind their way along the coast, others run adjacent to the Forester River and inland towards the Tasmanian hinterland.

Barnbougle Lost Farm features a quirky 20 holes that are all playable to golfers per round. Greens have been strategically placed amongst the dunes and along the coastline offering a diverse and exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities as well as providing something different from the standard Links Golf Course. The sweeping fairways highlight the landscape and add to the game itself.

Barnbougle Lost Farm also provides guest with an alternative or complimentary experience with a wonderful Spa facility. (Come back tomorrow for Iced Vovo’s story on The Lost Farm Spa.)

What is wonderful about playing at either of the courses is that the weather can provide an added challenge as well. On the first day we had to contend with gusty winds whilst the second day was calm and far less chaotic for golfing and just walking around!

Fees to play the Lost Farm golf course are offered either per game or you can get a day pass and squeeze in as many games as you like.
18/20 holes – $99.00 per person/round
9 holes – $70.00 per person/round
All day golf – $130 per person/round
