Sprouting in the garden this week

The vege patch is really starting to take shape with some of the beets already picked (I’m waiting for a few to plump up a little more) the garlic is going great guns while the spring onions, zucchini and tomatoes have a bit more time in the soil yet before harvest…The rocket has kept on going but is starting to flower and stalk a bit too much so it might be about time for out with the old in in with some new seeds.

The roses are continuing to produce lovely blooms while the liliums are making a real show of themselves!

The giant kangaroo paw makes a grand centre piece and the birds just love to play around on the stems.

The red hot pokers are no shrinking violets either – their firey stems want to be seen.
