There is a lovely walking track that I jog frequently that follows the Derwent River along the esplanade at New Norfolk, up an escarpment and around to Tynwald Park before curving under the road and around some raspberry fields where it runs parallel to the Lachlan River. At a number of points you can veer off and head back in to town allowing you to determine the length of your route based on how energetic you may be feeling or how much time you have.
On this morning I decided to take the camera and here are a few snaps of the lovely natural setting that makes this town so picturesque.
Rocky crags remind me of Picnic at Hanging Rock – I can hear the pan pipes playing!
These little ducklings are oh so cute!
Whatever the day, and the weather, there is something new to see. I use it as time to think through issues, come up with new story ideas or just as nothing time, to dream and drift and listen to the sound of my breath as a puff my way around.
