Mr Iced Vovo and I popped along for our second visit to MoMa, a market held on the grounds of MONA each Saturday during summer (December 15 – March 30). Here you may find anything from local produce to handmade sunglasses, clothing, jewellery and more (yep, all Tassie stuff!) But there is not just things to eat or buy there is also plenty to see and hear with all kinds of entertainment on offer too. This was especially the case this last weekend as Mona Foma (MoFo) the musical/art/entertainment festival was also being held at various venues around Hobart culminating this year with David Byrne (of Talking Heads fame) and St Vincent held on Saturday night and Elvis Costello and the Imposters playing at the Princes Wharf 1 on Wednesday 23rd January.
Here are some shots of what we saw when we visited MoMa/MONA:
Garth Knight a Sydney artist constructed an intricate web of ropes outside the MONA Wine Bar that eventually involved weaving and suspending a naked human into the display. It was fascinating and intriguing to watch this installation evolve.
