After over 25 years of working full time it has been an absolute joy to go part time this year. I have been lucky enough to secure a full day off midweek and use it wisely to do all manner of things such as write poetry, write on my blog, catch up with friends and family, or to just spend some solo time doing as I please.
Last week, on a gorgeous Autumn day, I took myself off to MONA to catch Sidney Nolan’s Snake before it came down (see Snake makes way for the Red Queen) and to take some snaps of a few of my other favourite artworks at the gallery.
Even the toilets have Art:
Tasmanian Artist, Patrick Hall’s installation titled When My Heart Stops Beating is a wonderful whimsical wall of sound…I’m not going to give too much away…
Another perfect day in Tassie paradise:
Whatever the weather MONA is a great place to be with so much to see and do so be sure to put it on the agenda for your next trip to Tasmania or for your own day adventure if you’re living in the vicinity.
